music has always been an important part of my life
but my path i took in my music listening has been sort of unorthodox
i never really got into pop and mainstream music, especially vocal songs, it's still hard for me to like those
but music can so very still be a big part of our lives without them, there's so many kinds of music

the main kind of music i enjoy is VGM or well, video game music
but it's not the only kind i enjoy of course

I'm not into quality or fidelity or whatever, I just, like music.

My favorite musical artists (that i can remember right now) are:
igorsantusa, Red&Green, Wyatt from SMWCentral, Vince DiCola, Masahiro Ando, T-Square, Jake "virt" Kaufman, Churgney "Sturm" Gurgney, Falk Au Yeong, Andy Tunstall, Cliqtrack, flashygoodness, C418, Stan LePard, Mooncake, Nekomata Master, Lunaxis, Jamangar, SlappyHappy2000, Scruff0, Stan SB, +TEK, sasakure.UK, cosMo@bousouP, Yuzo Koshiro, lexxiemow, Mannheim Steamroller, Electric Light Orchestra, Falcom Sound Team jdk

So many, so much music, have either inspired what I make today, or supported me through tough times.

of them, there are a few that i'd definitely want to shoutout in particular

the biggest "hit" i ever got hit by was in my early childhood
with the intro theme to Gran Turismo - the incredible track "Moon Over The Castle".
made by Masahiro Ando and his band T-Square, today they're more known in the western world for making groovy j-fusion music, but the rock songs were the main T-Square Thing for me
Moon Over The Castle has stayed a constant as the theme for Gran Turismo for a long time, before eventually it started fading out
until, of course, it got the big revival for Gran Turismo 7, just...beautiful
truly an evergreen track for me

now, one genre of music i've always really really liked, but very specific, are hopeless devastating heavy despairful but energetic tracks that are basically boss battles
in the rough times i did tend to fall back to that kind of music, it gave me energy
Thank you to Igorsantusa and Churgney Gurgney. my gosh, churgney gurgney.
master of the heavy, angry, hopeless, scary, and often fast
ticked all the right boxes for me, often it was so sentimentally powerful that i had to keep it for times i really need it
his music was there right when i truly needed it and i owe a lot to that
and this one ties into the next topic below but Igorsantusa, he is the newest artist in the list that i am quite fond of but yet still left such a big mark in me
truly knows how to evoke emotions and make tracks that are just right for the scene it's made for
i appreciate his work so so much
oh, and shoutouts to Lemonemy as well, they can get the trakcs so, so heavy emotionally, it's delicious
thank you to yall

Another Genre like that for me was... how do i call this... Neogothic Dark Fantasy.
this is a very specific term originating from the world of Undertale/Deltarune Soundcloud scene, and it captures this specific energy of one part of toby fox's energy.
i don't really interact with the community, im just in for the music. im kinda always mostly only in for the music
you may have noticed that i didn't really put in Toby Fox in the list of artist i liked or UT/DR in the section of things i liked. don't get me wrong, i do think they're awesome and i like em, it's just that there were things that i liked more and prioritized writing these
what i feel is that i feel like i like all the fan-made music that came out of toby's work maybe more than i do his work - i know that's a bold statement, but it is true, again it's NOT that i think toby's work are subpar
not even specifically Neogothic Dark Fantasy i just wanted to mention that term cause its damn cool, but the great bulk of the music i always listen to these days are from undertale/deltarune soundcloud fan music. it's always kinda carried a lot of parts of my life
whether in its energetic battle themes, decisive boss themes or somber as hell themes that i also have fondness for, it's always found its way into some part of my life
and i owe a lot to that as well, i wouldnt be here without all the music from them i don't think, atleast not in the same shape

before i had churgney or UTDR, there was Sonic Before/After The Sequel
done by Sonic Before/After The Sequel Sound Team, now known as Cliqtrack
but out of them especially, my great shoutouts to Falk Au Yeong and Andy Tunstall
the whole soundtrack is awesome but Falk's tracks have always hit me so differently, and Andy Tunstall's tracks in another way as well
i listened to ATS/BTS soundtrack so much in my youth it's kinda crazy

oh and Flashygoodness, their music were so good that it's kinda led to me being here now with my skills and friends gained from coming to rivals of aether workshop
i was always hooked to flashy's works all the way from Tower of Heaven
i don't have much to say about this one except that flashy's work are great and i also wouldnt be here like this if it were not for straight up bringing me to where i am today altogether
music truly is interesting

well! you scrolled all the way down here!
for your troubles, here are an actual list of a bunch of music that i especially like a LOT
